10. Sicily: Regional flag. Proportions: 2:3 Law 1 dated 4 Jauary 2000 adopting the regional flag (until now the flag was only unofficial) was published in "Gazzeta ufficiales della regione siciliana" in issue 1 year 54, dated in palermo Friday 7 Januay 2000. The flag is 2:3 and the emblem (stemma) is 3/5 of the flag. Article 1 of the law dated 28 July 1990 is ammended in order to add the flag as "simboli uffficiale della Regione" (official symbol of the region).Flag must be hoisted at 15 May (autonomy day) 25 May (date of the first sesion of the regional assembly) and when is disposed by the president of the region. Flag is dispalyed in the outside of the Regional Assembly, Presidency of the region, central and peripherical offices of the regional government and their dependences, dependencies under control of the region, houses of the sicilian provinces, and in the sicilian communes (also in Sicilian university and scholastic institute). It also must be hoisted when people vote for the regional assembly, in the votation hedquartes and dependencies. |

Il patto federativo per i vespri tra Corleone e Palermo Il 3 aprile 1282 a seguito della rivoluzione del vespro, le città di Palermo e Corleone stipularono un "atto di confederazione", un accordo solenne sottoscritto da 29 rappresentanti delle due città per combattere l'Angiò. 3 April 1282: The Seal of the Sicilian Parliament is born On April 3, 1282, following the Vespers' revolution, the cities of Palermo and of Corleone signed an "Act of Confederation", a solemn treaty undersigned by 29 representatives from the two cities to fight the Angevins. |
